Our Story
How It All Began
We’re Daphne and Aria (who we lovingly call Monkey), the mommy-daughter duo behind Motch. For us, matching isn’t just about clothes—it’s about creating joy and connection in the beautiful chaos of family life. Picture this: yet another diaper run to the grocery store, but instead of just throwing on leggings, we put on our favorite matching outfits. Suddenly, a mundane task turns into a moment of fun and laughter, a little celebration in our busy day.
The Search for Solutions
We loved matching, but finding stylish, comfortable outfits that fit into our daily lives was nearly impossible. Most options were reserved for special occasions or lacked quality. Frustrated, we started designing and sewing our own matching outfits at our kitchen table.
Sharing the Joy
As we wore our creations, people stopped us constantly to ask where we got our outfits and shared their own struggles with finding matching clothes. Realizing we weren’t alone in this challenge, we decided to share our solution—and Motch was born. Now, everyone can experience the joy of Motching.

But behind every piece is something deeper — a quiet care for how long it lasts, how it feels to wear, and how it holds up through all the moments in between.
What might look like just a shirt is actually the result of two years of obsessing over every choice — every stitch, every snap, every quarter inch of extra length. Because the best things aren't always the ones you notice right away — they're the ones that simply last longer, feel better, and quietly make life easier without you ever having to think about them. It's what we feel like everyone on this journey with us deserves.
The Name
When Aria was a baby, we’d match every now and then, and those little moments made me feel even more connected to her. As she got older and her personality blossomed, something adorable began to happen. She’d look at me, then at her outfit, and if she realized we weren’t matching, she’d pout, her eyes filling with tears, and say, “Mommy, no motch!” It was her way of telling me we weren’t twinning, and it always melted my heart. So, I’d quickly change into something that matched, and when I returned, her face would light up with happiness. Together, we’d head out, our matching outfits making the day feel that much more joyful.
Needless to say, mommy-and-me matching became a regular part of our routine. Her sweet mispronunciation of “match” became a beloved part of our family, and “Motching” turned into our own special word — perfectly capturing the love, fun, and connection that came with those moments. When we decided to bring this joy to others, “Motch” felt like the only name that truly captured everything we wanted to share.
